Juanita Frances Nix is an artist, athlete, entrepreneur and full time student. For her, art has always been apart of who she is and she continues to use her gift to inspire others and express her outlook on life. She currently attends Opelika High School as a 10th grader; she is proud to be apart her school’s soccer team, Spanish Club and Art Club. While attending Opelika High School, she has grown within her artistic abilities and was awarded honorable mentions at the 2020 Annual State Superintendent’s Visual Arts Exhibit in Montgomery, Alabama while also being awarded 1st place in her district art exhibit. Although she is only a 10th grader, she plans on attending Howard University with dreams of studying abroad. She also plans on creating a podcast where she talks about the struggles of being a black teenager in today’s society.
She continues to grow and create in hopes that her art will bring awareness and inspiration to those around her.
